Agria is a specialist pet insurer with a long-standing commitment to supporting the health and well-being of animals and their owners. The oldest pet insurer in the world; Agria began insuring animals in 1890 and has grown rapidly in the UK since commencing operations in 2011.
With a growing number of teams involved in creating, reviewing and approving regulated customer-facing content, the business needed a more structured, user-friendly way to manage its marketing assets and sign-off processes.
Prior to implementing bethebrand, Agria relied on DocuSign for sign off, while assets were tracked using a combination of email trails and shared drives.
The lack of a central source of truth made it difficult for teams to identify the most up-to-date versions of assets, at times causing delays, not only caused by looking for documents, but also through user uncertainty and hesitancy. As the business grew, the volume of marketing campaigns increased, so did the operational burden of managing compliance manually.
At the same time, internal requirements were growing. The compliance team called for a robust audit trail and clearer visibility across business units, while operational leads needed a simpler, more structured way to manage scripts, business rules and internal sign-offs.

The business had already explored options to create a single source of truth for regulated marketing assets and several people on the team were familiar with bethebrand from previous roles.
It was selected as the workflow, asset and approval management system that could offer both structure and flexibility, without over-complicating processes.
bethebrand was brought in to provide clarity, control and consistency. Rather than relying on emails or calendar reminders, the platform introduced structured workflows, centralised storage and a full version history for every asset.
From launch, the goal was to make the platform easy to use and widely adopted.
“The training was there for everyone who needed it. The training sessions are stored on TAILS for easy access. Having the test system has been really helpful as it gives users a chance to build their confidence and knowledge before going onto the live system.”
An internal quick-start guide was also created to help colleagues self-serve, covering the core tasks from setting up a project to uploading a corrected asset post-sign-off.
“We've still got the odd question, of course. But most of the time, people can now sort things themselves. It's about building that confidence.
The support has been excellent. The minute I ask a question, BTB are straight back with the response. Usually it's something simple that we have missed in the user guides, but they're always really helpful.”
Agria continues to gather feedback through quarterly super-user meetings and is reviewing long-term platform ownership to ensure governance keeps pace with evolving needs.
bethebrand has helped reduce admin and improve clarity across the board. But beyond the technology, it's the thoughtful implementation and practical training that have made the real difference to embedding the changes throughout teams.
Everyone knows where to find the right version. With no more complex inbox searches or uncertainty over which asset was approved.
Audit trails are now clear and accessible. Financial promotions are fully trackable and reporting is faster and more reliable.
From implementation through to business-as-usual, the bethebrand team has remained responsive and helpful, supporting confident users of the system across the organisation.
With access to ongoing training, internal guides and a test environment, users across the business now feel more in control, reducing the load on super users and project leads.
What started as a rollout of new software has led to more consistent ways of working. Colleagues now take greater responsibility for their part in the process.
Agria is now exploring future use cases, including handling contract sign-off and giving external partners controlled access to submit and track their own content within the platform.
